The TomoScope® software suite is the central platform of interaction with the scanner and offers full control of the scan acquisition process, image reconstruction and image viewing. To enable a seamless workflow it provides an integrated graphical user interface for the wide range of capabilities of the TomoScope® scanners. In addition, direct access to previously acquired scan data, planned and performed image reconstruction data is offered.
• Control of the different scanning options, e.g. single source, dual source (optional), different voltages and exposure times as predefined scan protocols
• Topogram view of the complete object table with graphical planning of the scan range (see Figure 1)
• Overview of the acquisition process and device status display
• Option to plan multiple scans which are then performed automatically
• Integrated data handling to the image reconstruction
• Client-server system with access to the reconstruction server from multiple workplaces for an optimized workflow
• Fast and flexible image reconstruction with preview reconstructions within seconds
• Typical reconstruction times of a volume of 5123 voxels from 720 projections are less than 30 s using GPU hardware (optional)
• Variable voxel and matrix sizes, variable field-of-view
• Wide range of reconstruction kernels from smoothing to edge enhancing
• Export of reconstructed data directly to DICOM, TIFF or ASCII
• Additionally available software modules for retrospectively gated image reconstruction, dual-energy applications and multi-modality image co-registration
• Integrated viewer for quick evaluation of reconstructed image data
• Advanced viewing and evaluation options with the dedicated viewing software ImpactView
• 2D viewing of volume data (transversal, coronal, sagittal, and 3-pane multi-planar / double-oblique reformatting)
• Slicing, panning, zooming, windowing
• Sliding thin slabs, i.e. either mean / min / max of the pixel data of a ‚slab’ of data
• Threshold-based shaded surface display (surface rendering) of the data
• 2D region-of-interest (ROI) evaluations of rectangular, circular or free-form regions and display of min, mean, max, standard deviation of the voxel values within the region
• Supports DICOM and TomoScope® raw-data formats
• Available for most MS Windows operating systems
